This art deco, Indian-style necklace features 24 emarald drops of graduated sizes, each adjoined by a smaller emerald bead. All are set in platinum with hundreds of small diamonds. The necklace was made in 1928-29 by Cartier, Inc. The necklace was donated to the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History by Mrs. Marjorie Merriweather Post in 1964.
