  • Title: Installation view, Christian Dior Room
  • Fashion House: Christian Dior
  • Date Created: 1954/1968
  • Location Created: Romans-sur-Isère, Valence, France / Riviera del Brenta, Venice, Italy
  • Provenance: Dior united his name to the New Look, which on the 12th of February 1947 made him famous all over the world in only one day. In a postwar period, this New Style attracted women thinking nostalgically to their womanliness made of corsets and soft skirts. Talking about shoes, the maison’s collaboration with the French fashion designer Roger Vivier, from 1953 to 1963, was fundamental: in the exhibition there are some examples of this partnership.
