Instancias de lucha, [Fight instances]

The creation of a gesture, a birth and memory. For the realization of this work, I invited community theater actors to rehearse a gesture of fight. The election of the sequence shot, fixed frame and the slow motion lets us observe the deconstruction of each movement, its origin, development and end. Instancias de lucha belongs to the series Escenas de trabajo, on which I’ve worked during the year 2019 and I will continue developing in 2020. It takes as a starting point the subjects, concerns and visual representations of the group of Argentine visual artists Artistas del Pueblo –active between 1915 and 1930– and suggests a contemporary reinterpretation on video format.
