Part of the plans for the reconstruction of the National Library of Peru, after its fire occurred in 1943, was the construction of a new premises.
In the present photograph, we see that the construction system of boxed ceilings was used, which allowed for a greater distance between columns, thus achieving a building with a freer floor plan and with fewer walls.
In addition, we see the implementation of a series of marble sculptures brought from Italy, which were previously in the facilities of the Santa Clara Mill.
