This delightful sculpture in bronze and ivory represent the famous Isadora Duncan. The American dancer is considered one of the founders of modern dance: barefoot, dressed in a simple Greek tunic, she posed in movements that she had studied observing the bas-reliefs of Hellenic art. Through this new way of dancing, Isadora wanted to free modern dance from the strict academic and artificial rules of classical ballet.
