A lidded box of cylindrical form, carved from elephant ivory with gilded silver fittings. The box is decorated with carved horizontal bands consisting of a loose braid surmounted by a guilloche, a geometric interlace, a band of epigraphy in praise of God, including the Nasrid adage, and praising the sultan and terminated by a beaded border. The lid decorated in the same manner with concentric bands of the same type of motifs. The fittings consist of two bands running across the side walls and intersecting at the top and bottom center of the box.
