Jadwiga and Józef Kietliński, Bialogard, 25 December 1964. Jadwiga came to Lębork with her parents from Borzestowska Huta shortly after the war. Józef, on the other hand, was from Varsovia and joined the army in Siemirowice. What is striking about the wedding photograph are the men standing by the bride and groom. It was a custom in Józef's family that only men could be witnesses so as not to overshadow the bride's beauty. It is interesting to note that the civil wedding took place in an intimate group of military men, and only the church ceremony brought the whole family together.
