Weston Park
Weston-under-Lizard, United Kingdom

Engraved for his own book of his buildings, James Paine's ground plan of the Temple of Diana reveals the architect's ingenious use and love of geometry in the planning. To the top is the circular tea room on the north front, below which is the elliptical sided south-facing greenhouse or orangery. To the left is a square room intended for a dairy maid, whilst opposing this, on the right, is another room, with niches at its angles, which was the family's music room. Spiral staircases can be seen which provide the means of access to the upper and lower floor.
