As it had already done in 1953, in 1955 the Zeppelin area hosted the "Triumphant Kingdom" International Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses. From 1933 to 1938 this area had been the site of the Nazi Party Rallies – elaborate propaganda events intended to impress the public and to display the National Socialists' concept of themselves.
