Qing dynasty (1644-1911) agate carving of a bronze Jue.

During the Shang dynasty, vessels like this Jue would be gifted to high ranking officials, generals, and scholars. While later dynasties would move away from bronze cast, it was common to replicate bronze sculptures using jade, agate, or other rocks and minerals to display.
