After leaving captivity, Julian Stryjak spent time in the camps of the Polish Armed Forces in France and later Great Britain.
The Polish Armed Forces in the West, which were formed in France from the autumn of 1939, and then in Great Britain, fought in, among others, the Norwegian campaign, the Battle of Britain, and battles in North Africa, Italy, France, Holland and Germany, were dissolved in 1947.
