Chalcography with black ink. The main part of the artefact depicts a group of human figures, most likely men, who walk with their hands tied to the back of the body. A second group of figures are soldiers holding weapons. Next to them, a third group of human forms is depicted, lying on the ground. In the background you can see a settlement in flames. On the right-hand and left-hand side of the artefact you can recognise forms of women wearing long garments and head scarfs. The posture of the women, slouching with folded hands on the chest, gives a sense of anguish and pain. In the bottom left of the artefact is the signature of the artist.
