KALKI AVATAR: This is the last incarnation of Lord Vishnu said to occur at the end of the Kali-yug when Mother Earth implores him to save her from the unbearable weight of unrighteousness (adharma).

In this print by the Ravi Varma Press derived from a painting by Raja Ravi Varma, it may be assumed that the description as found in the Padma-samhita has been followed. According to this text, Kalki Avatar is to be depicted as a riding a white horse and with four arms carrying the sword and shield in his principal hands and the conch (shank) and discus (chakra) in the other arms. He is fierce and so is the horse!
