Kayenzi and Ijwi island

The first attack King Kigeri IV Rwabugiri made on Ijwi crossed the Kayenzi of Nyamirundi; but it was difficult for them to cross because Kabego's army had found out and set up a camp in Nyakarengo under the command of Kayenzi, waiting for the Rwandans to cross and resist them without escaping.
