This is a Korean translated manuscript of Yeongjo’s 10 lists of instructions to his grandson Jeongjo in 1764 (year 40 of Yeongjo). In the beginning, he expresses his concern over the state affair since he is old (71 years) but his grandson-heir is young. Specifically, he encourages five things including filial duty, study, Confucian moral, frugality and taking advices. Five other things he warns are idling, believing prophecy, boosting hard labor, punishment and dreariness.
