Drums used to play an important part in King's Cult. There were different types od drum: Royal drums "Ingabe", symbol of royal power; Drums played in different ceremonies; and drums played to greet the king, to announce audiences with the king and during court cases, drums played during King's coronation and drums which had a signalling function and warned of danger. In the present photo, the King is playing one of the drums during ceremony.
