Gangwon-do north. Deciduous broad-leaf shrub. Around 1m tall. Irregular form. Rhizome. Bark dark brown. Branch down. Leaves length 4-6m, 13-27 small leaves in a pinnate leaf, Oval Apex concave form, white small hairs. Flowering in May, Typical Leguminosae flower, Yellow color, Raceme; 5-6 flowers in 3-5cm long new stem. Pods (approximately 7 cm long) ripen from July to September and contain two or three seeds. Echinosophora koreensis native habitat of Yanggu-gun, Gangwon-do is protected by natural monument No. 372.
