Krzysztof Kieślowski with a still camera during photography classes

Krzysztof Kieślowski took (at least) several dozen pictures during his studies at the Łódź Film School. Years later, the preserved ones were used for the exhibition Photographs from the City of Łódź, the title of which is a reference to the title of the documentary film Kieślowski made at the Warsaw Documentary Film Studio. The short documentary From the City of Łódź (1969) was also Kieślowski's graduation film.
