La Littorina: The old steam train

We have chosen to adopt the oldest section of railway tracks in Calabria as we consider it as a “monument”, a monument in movement, because that is how we would like our world: attached to its history and moving towards its future. The rediscovery of the old steam train that the Calabro Lucane Raylways Company reactivated for the opening of the railway line Cosenza-Rogliano for the centenary celebration of its construction, was the reason why our class choose to adopt it. We have read that the current Government intends to start a process of redevelopment and promotion of the Sila railway line, so that it may to be an example for the other tourist railways of the area.
