Laboratory clamp

This laboratory clamp would have been used in laboratories to hold and handle mixing flasks, beakers, and other receptacles when they were hot or needed to be handled with caution. The manufacturer's name, Grupo Selecta, is engraved on the clamp. In Spain, the sciences were incorporated into the education system at a late stage in comparison to the rest of Europe.
