Fragment of a hanukkia or multiple hand-made ceramic lamp, with mixed firing and glaze only on the inside that has very partially extended to the outside like drips. Two receptacles or lamps joined together are preserved, although fragmented. The shape of the receptacles would be ovoid ending in a peak that would protrude from the structure that would hold these receptacles. No decoration is appreciated.
Hanukkah is linked to the Jewish festival of lights or Hanukkah. They consist of eight or nine receptacles (one daily plus another for service) that were progressively illuminated each of the eight days that the festival lasted.
