The Portuguese Federation Athletic and Fight (FPAL) was founded in 1925, headquartered at Rua do Arco de Cego, in Lisbon. On December 4, 1934, resulting from the separation of the Portuguese Federation of Athletics and Fight, the Portuguese Federation of Amateur Fights (FPLA) was constituted.
