Laurentius copy of the First Statute of Grand Duchy of Lithuania

Photographic slides of First Statute of Grand Duchy of Lithuania. This Latin copy of the First Lithuanian Statute is kept in Schulpforta’s school library (Naumburg, Germany). It is thought that the Statute was translated into the Latin language on the initiative of Queen Bona Sforza. Her many lands in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania had to be ruled with regard to the laws of the First Lithuanian Statute.
