Lease agreement for Pero Mato's theatrical courtyard - Page 1

The comedy writer Alonso de Cisneros rented the theatrical courtyard from Doctor Pero Mato, a native of Sanlúcar. The area had corridors and a roof cover, as well as dressing quarters where actors could change before going on stage. The curious nature of this document also lies with the owner of this courtyard, whose story was one of adultery and death, still remembered by people in Córdoba today.
