The castle is shown from the south-east. The illustration clearly shows the effect of reconstructions after the fire of 1835, carried out in the neo-Gothic spirit. The southern, eastern and northern wings (not visible in the picture) were crowned with battlement covering the low, single-pitched roof. Decorative turrets in the south wing gave the building a defensive appearance. As a result of construction works, the castle elevations were plastered. The joints in the wall were imitated by cut-outs in the plaster. The outer walls of the castle were faced with machine bricks in the years 1897–1900. To the right of a passing carriage, surrounded by trees, there is a figure of St. John of Nepomuk. The foreground is dominated by genre scenes.
