By 1880 the Belgian engineer Louis Siret discovers those who are still considered the main prehistoric sites of the region, including Los Millares and El Argar and as a result of this work published the work "Les premiers ages du mètal au Sud-este de la Peninsule Iberique "(Brussels, 1887), followed by the Spanish version (Las primeras edades del metal en el Sureste de la Península Ibérica, Barcelona 1890). This publication highlights not only the content but also the spectacular films that illustrate, the work of the hand of Luis Siret. This book expressed Siret theories about the origins of metallurgy in southeastern Spain. In this and other later works Luis Siret showed his best positivist inclination which highlight-and for the rest of his life as an artist, photographer, restorer, even experimental physical anthropologist and archaeologist, proving itself the manufacture and use of prehistoric utensils.
