Emil Rick, the author of the letter which was found under a window frame in the Artus Court, wrote to “future colleagues in charge of restoration works”. A carpenter himself, in his message he described the course of the works and also the details of the economic and political situation in the city. He believed that his account would be found and published. It happened after 80 years in 2012 during the renovation works in the Artus Court.
