Not long after the Tachibana army led by the Lord Muneshige came back to their domain from the battle of Sekigahara, the Nabeshima army in Hizen domain attacked the Tachibana army; and the battle of Egami-Hachiin broke out. It is said that Ono Shigeyuki, a chief commander of the Tachibana troop, sustained specifically two wounds in the battle. This letter was sent to Shigeyuki from Muneshige to praise Shigeyuki and his vassals’ outstanding military service.
