I think of contemplation of nature as some kind of ritual. I am interested in the transformation of human experience through its capacity of perception and relation with concepts like beauty, frailty, and depth. The artistic experience of a landscape is marked by subjectivity. Its existence requires the patience of an observer capable of experiencing in a conscious way a fragment of nature like a fragment of the soul. Something is produced when we find an emotional connection with our surrounding and that is the starting point of this series of photographs. Therefore, my intention is not to capture a landscape, but to find a feeling, an emotion that fixes me to that moment, and that leads me to move from a mere contemplative act to transform with my hands and my gesture what was outside and now is within me, transforming my own reality.
