This ivory tusk features a long procession of people in different attire forming a long spiraling procession that covers the entire surface. This type of carved tusk is typical of the tradition developed in the Kingdom of Loango along the Congo coast at the end of the 19th century, mostly directed to European customers increasingly present in the area.
