Judo (literally 'the kind path') is essentially a martial art, although also currently an Olympic modality. Gathers the physicist, mental and moral pedagogy developed by Japanese educator Jigoro Kano in 1882. Telma Monteiro is the most titled athlete in the Portuguese Judo, with a bronze medal at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in the -57 kg category, five titles of European champion, four world runner-up titles, among other relevant achievements at the international level. In 2012, it was chosen to be the Portuguese entourage-to-one-entourage holder to the 2012 London Olympic Games and again for the Tokyo 2020 games.
