Lélia Gonzalez

Lélia Gonzalez was a Brazilian intellectual, author, politician, teacher, philosopher and anthropologist. She was a pioneer in studies on Black Culture in Brazil and co-founder of the Institute for Research on Black Cultures of Rio de Janeiro, the Movimento Negro Unificado and Olodum.
