The kiln of Yatsushiro Ware was relocated from Naragi to Hirayama in the south in 1658, where Yatsushiro Ware continued to be fired throughout the Edo period. Today, the remains of the eight-chamber climbing kiln can still be seen. Hirayama Kiln site, a Kumamoto prefecture designated cultural property (historical site), located in Hirayama Shinmachi, Yatsushiro city, Kumamoto prefecture.
