Macrolyristes imperator

The world's largest orthoptera insect and katydid genus whose wingspan can reach 27.4 cm. It lives in tropical rainforests of Malaysia. Its egg, also very large, is one of the largest insect eggs in the world (16 mm long and 3 mm wide).
