In retrospect, this turned out to be the country's revival, given that it was the year 1947. This is titled Hanuman with Sanjeevi, wherein he uproots an entire mountain to fetch medicinal herbs to revive Lakshmana, who has been felled by Ravana's son Indrajit's most powerful weapon, the Brahmastra.
With India gaining Independence the same year, the depiction of Hanuman with the sacred mountain, was, in a manner of speaking, a flash of brilliance as it epitomised the revival of an entire nation: in the battle it revived and resurrected Lakshmana and a horde of vanarasena, who had been left incapacitated by the Brahmastra.
We bring to your attention the top panels on the calendar - Cone Yarn & Cheese Yarn (Cone is of conical shape & Cheese is a straight parallel Tube). They were brand names of the yarn made by Madura Mills Co., Ltd. at that time.
