MALATI: This print from the Ravi Udaya Press derived from a painting by Raja Ravi Varma depicts Malati as a traditional Marati lady on her way to the temple. It can be seen that she is entering a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva as the vehicle of Lord Shiva, the bull (Nandi) is visible in the background. Malati is also the mother of Savitri (See Savitri)
