Plaster cast relief map of the Iberian Peninsula, in color. An embossed plaster emblem in the bottom right corner bears an image of Saint George driving a spear through a dragon. The inscription around the border of the emblem states the name and location of the company. The round emblem is decorated in gold, like a medal.
Maps were an essential teaching resource in schools, but it was usually easier to get maps that were printed on paper or with wax engraving. They were more affordable than plaster cast relief maps. This piece is from the Anejas de Huesca school and was used to train schoolteachers.
