Mask of palm wood, polychrome. The mask represents the evil witch Rangda who competes in the Barong dance against the Good, represented by the Barong. Large convex, bulging eyes; large overhanging upper teeth; long fangs; large, wide-open nostrils. Purchase: art dealers Boeatan. Dated to the second half of the 19th - first half of the 20th century.
