The Museum of World Culture (Världskulturmuseet) is one of four Museums of World Culture in Sweden. The museum is located in Gothenburg and is part of the government agency National Museums of World Culture.
The Museums of World Culture aim to help make today's world more understandable through the provision of knowledge and perspectives. The objects and artefacts that are kept at the Museums of World Culture come from every corner of the world and represent many thousand years of human creations and creativity. By maintaining a dialogue with our visitors, we hope to embrace the diversity of our world and thus, contribute to a sustainable global development. The other museums in the organization are The Museum of Ethnography, The Museum of Mediteranean and Near Eastern Antiquities and The Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities.
