May How Taiwan

Mr. Red has made his name producing cartoons, illustrations and writing. In this exhibition he employs satire in the depiction of a perfect Taiwan. Large computer generated images are stuck in a space deliberately designed to resemble a family living room. This wallpaper narrates the dreams of all people to be successful. On the red sofa, ventilation pipe and wall in the living room we find different styles of cloth dolls, hand sown by the artist himself. These allude to the different images of politicians, upstarts and the media, and as such point directly to a range of bizarre and motley social phenomenon in Taiwan. Although each one is both colorful and dazzling, their expressions are unclear, lost in the river of desire we each create for ourselves.
