Medallion of the Largo de São Domingos Fountain (Jardim das Águas do Porto)

The medallion of the Chafariz de São Domingos displays the city' coat of arms, adopted in 1837. It features a shield with the royal arms and the old city arms, with two towers and the image of the Virgin Mary between them. The shield with a heart in honour of King Pedro IV stands out. Over the crowned medallion erupts a dragon of the Portuguese Royal House.
