On January 31, 1959, at the Estádio Nacional de Santiago, a generation that proved to be victorious over the years, won the first Brazilian basketball world title. After defeating the North American national team (81 x 67) in the semifinal, Brazil defeats the Chilean national team (73 x 49) in the final and raises the much-dreamed trophy.
