Miguel José Masústegui y Árcher Calzada, born in Ibagué (1715-96), was a collegiate student member of the college government in 1728; lecturer, University vice-chancellor and interim rector in 1745; later he was appointed rector in three periods: 1763-66; 1769-73 and 1778-80.
