The Military Demarcation Line is the land border that was established between South and North Korea by the Armistice at the end of the Korean War on July 27, 1953. The MDL runs for 249.4km from Jeongdong-ri, Jangdan-myeon, Paju-si in Gyeonggi-do Province to Myeongho-ri, Goseong-gun in Gangwon-do Province.
