Miragaia: Flood on the Douro River in 1962

This picture was taken by Teófilo Rego (1914-1993), who described it thus: “1962 flood in the city of Porto, at 1 o’clock on day 3. Detail of two buildings in Rua de Miragaia with their lower floors completely submerged by water. The upper floor residents can be seen on the balcony and at the window.”
