Two women accompanied by an attendant look back over their shoulders, and gaze at Mt. Fuji in the sunrise. The peak of Mt. Fuji is so high that it sticks out beyond the frame. The rugged mountain on the right is Mt. Ashitaka. In the wetlands, two Japanese cranes rest their wings for the winter here.
