The sculpture presents a woman from Kalavryta who carries the dead body of her husband, executed on 13/12/1943 by German soldiers, from the Place of the Execution to the cemetery of the town dragging him on his bloodstained coat, right in front of the grieving eyes of her children. It is located in the courtyard of the Municipal Museum of Kalavrytan Holocaust. The museum can be seen in the background of the photo. The museum opened its gates to the public in 2005 and until today it presents the history of the Kalavrytan Holocaust through historic documents, artefacts and personal testimonies of survivors.
