Grandmother sitting on a chair and in clasped hands holding a rosary and prays to God. The figure is static, without proportion, and still gives an impression of power and monumental strenght.

Dragica Belkovic was born in 1931 in Hlebine. She is considered a veteran of female Naive sculpture. She mostly worked in wood, having started carving in 1967. The subject matter of her sculptures were the local people of the Podravina region in their everyday lives. She died in 2009.
