New World Order

This abstract work shows iconic landmarks from Mosul, including the Al-Nouri Mosque and minaret, the old city plastered over a fractured sun as if to extinguish the light of the world as the End of Days. In the lower section of the picture, a person kneels over an ISIS victim with a sense of sorrow and despair. This is a commentary on the very great pain and loss experienced under ISIS occupation by Mosul.
