A drawing by the South African artist Jeanette Pope-Ellis (1895-1973) titled Nude Figure. The work was donated to the University of Pretoria in 1933. Pope Ellis was one of the first artists to exhibit at the University in the 1930s. Short Biography: Reta Jeannette Pope-Ellis was born in 1895, se also painted under her married name Fincken or Pope-Fincken to whom she was married in January of 1932. She and her husband lived in Ashburton in Natal and she passed away in 1973.
